Well, today is the 2nd day for our kids to be out of school because of the snow and frigid temps ~ that equals 12 days of vacation including the Christmas/New Year break! A great deal of time was spent this morning watching the juncos, black-capped chickadees, sparrows, blue jays, cardinals, wrens, finches, nuthatches, tufted titmice ...and one squirrel feasting on seeds. The wren & chickadee seem to be the only ones to go for our stringed popcorn...

Time well spent =-)

I love the one of the squirrel!
ReplyDeleteYes, the squirrel. And the white throated sparrow, whom I didn't recognize at first, seeing it head-on, making the yellow more prominent than it usually seems...
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!
What marvellous photos! St Brigid would love them.
ReplyDeleteI get an occasional robin fluttering around the feeders on my apple tree but no-one else, it's always been a birdless garden, don't know why :(
wonderful photos!
