Abolish Apathetic Men

BAM!

As a female who speaks on human sex trafficking, I wholeheartedly agree with this no-holds-barred article.  Kudos to you Mr. Ortiz.

St. Brigid of Kildare

I was chrismated into the Orthodox church in August of 2006, taking St. Brigid's name as my patron saint.

Brigid of Kildare was born around the Year of our Lord 450, just a few years before St. Patrick died. She was born of a pagan Scottish king and a Christian mother. Brigid was known for her generosity and hospitality and became one of Ireland's most beloved saints.

She also founded a double monastery at Kildare and instituted a famous center for art and illuminated manuscripts.  To read more about St. Brigid, check the links below:

This n That

I'm a mother of two.... daughter, sister, aunt and friend of a few.

Writing and photography are my creative outlets...

I enjoy hearing my children laugh, seeing the dimples on my husband's face, smelling fresh cut grass, tasting perfectly ripe strawberries, and touching the baby-soft fur behind my dog's ears. I see the golden thread woven throughout; small wonder Orthodoxy called me home.

If you are on a journey toward the ancient faith, you may find it encouraging to know some of the paths I've traveled:
